Skilled Independent

- Live and work anywhere in Australia
- Occupation must be on the relevant skilled occupation list

Skilled Nominated
PermanentPermanent residency with state or territory nomination
- Nomination by an Australian state or territory
- Adds 5 points to your points score
- Generally expected to live in the nominating state for ~2 years
- Occupation must be on the nominating state's eligible list

Skilled Work Regional
Provisional5-year regional visa with a permanent pathway
- State nomination or eligible family sponsorship in regional Australia
- Adds 15 points to your points score
- Live, work and study only in designated regional areas
- PR pathway via Subclass 191 after 3 years
